Happy Thanksgiving. We are going to the Volta region for a couple of days where we will see the biggest man-made river in Africa. Friday– Chane of plans; we went to a hotel in Accra where there was a lovely pool. Sarah (the birthday girl- I can’t believe she is 15!!) invited some friends to meet us. The owner is a Ghanaian guy who spent about 40 years in the states (Boston mostly). He moved back with his wife a few years ago and has opened this very posh place with apartments, villas, and hotel rooms– very high priced. But we were able just to hang at the pool for the day. After that Sarah’s friends and family piled into two taxis and headed to Mamma Mia, the only good pizza place in Accra. While the girls (there were seven of them including Amy and Allegra) were eating I walked over to the Koala market and got a birthday cake for her.  I am thankful that we are able to provide for our children–both materially and I think with a rich experiences in their lives. And so it goes…

Here are a couple of pictures of the guys I work with

Here are the 5 guys who wore mustaches for the month of November. Can’t wait to shave this itchy thing…
